For me, no one sings with more power, voice, and motive than de la Rocha from Rage Against the Machine. If we do not resist the acts of violence and imperialism of our government, then we are a part of the evil. How can one murder in the name of freedom? He does not promote violence, but he insists upon resistance to evil.
Jesus of Nazareth also preaches resistance to evil with the power of good. People must treat one another with goodness, and when they do, they resist evil. Jesus was passively radical in resisting harm to any individual, contrary to governmental actions of the time.
