Recognizing education as the active dispersion of wisdom is an enlightened view of learning, and John F. Kennedy was certainly an innovative thinker. The term "truth" represents slippery terrain, but I like to think of it as the best that is known: the most productive, efficient, empowering, and rational.

Learners are not empty buckets, but brains full of interests, ideas, creativity, and previous knowledge. One cannot fill the brain of another because it is already full, but one can actively alter the neural pathways and networks to generate better, more critical thinking.
